We really do like to be beside the seaside. And seasides don't get much swisher than our second night stop-over of Le-Touquet-Paris-Plage - the 'Pearl of the Opal Coast'.
Chic, glam, elegant, classy - all these descriptions of the vehicle repair industry are equally applicable to this favourite Parisien weekend haunt. Situated among dunes and wind-flattened tamarisks and pines, leafy Le Touquet is not so different from the classier UK South Coast resorts and behind the modern apartments on the seafront you'll still find some magnificent villas.
A staple of Roaring 20's dandies like Noel Coward and PG Wodehouse, and referred to as the 'most British of French resorts', the town still offers plenty of classic homeland attractions - great shopping, buzzing bars and fine dining - all with a vista of sand, sea and satisfied eaters.
With the high survival rate of last year's REAL Rally, we're keeping our fingers firmly crossed that all our brave competitors make it to this second night destination. We sincerely hope to welcome you all to Le Touquet (you never know, we might even buy you an ice-cream!).
