Your favourite charity road trip is back from June 26th to 28th, bigger and better than ever and now known as The AutoRaise REAL Rally! This year it shall be taking the high road (and probably some low roads too) through the North East of England and Bonnie Scotland! We have organised some great adventures along the way interspersed with some lovely scenic drives, lots of social time to chat with friends and colleagues and no doubt a few “vehicle issues” too!
This year, the Rally has an official extra night at the beginning of the event, with teams gathering near the beautiful city of Durham on the evening of Tuesday 25th June for a pre-Rally get together and dinner. On the morning of Wednesday, 26th June, the AutoRaise REAL Rally official Starting Grid will be overflowing with an anticipated 75+ cars assembled and ready to make way North of the Border.
The first four days journey will take the teams in different groups along various routes travelling over the border into Scotland, with a stopover for coffee and cake before landing in Edinburgh for a unique lunch (contestants will find out more in due course!). That evening, everyone will gather for a first day’s awards presentation and drinks reception before heading off in to wonderful Edinburgh to enjoy a dining experience of their choice.
On Thursday, 27 June, the teams will once again converge before heading off on separate routes – well it would be dangerous to have 75 cars all travelling the same route at the same time! - to the shores of Loch Lomond. Here, all the teams will have an “eventful lunch on the shores of the Loch before having the opportunity to participate in the specially arranged AutoRaise REAL Rally Highland Games!! We have retained a Highland Games event organising company to put on various caber tossing/haggis hurling/axe throwing/etc… activities and this is set to be one of the highlights of the Rally (assuming no one gets maimed or killed!!) Teams will then head off to their second nights hotel in the Scottish Borders region. Thursday evening is the AutoRaise REAL Rally Gala Night, with food drink and lots of things going on to keep everyone entertained. We can exclusively reveal that Duffy’s Dice Table will once again be operational 😊 The Gala Evening is based on the fabulously successful Portmeirion event at the 2018 Rally and we very much hope the weather is very similar!
On Friday morning, everyone will enjoy breakfast at their leisure before heading off to their respective homes.
The 2019 AutoRaise REAL Rally will be our biggest event yet and with so many confirmed competitors already, you are guaranteed a fantastic few days driving amongst beautiful scenery and spending quality time with industry friends and acquaintances. Funds raised will go towards supporting AutoRaise and Essex-based children’s charity, REAL - the Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Fund.

While the cars (and many of the entrants!) will likely have seen better days, we expect spirits to be high as drivers test their trusty steeds over this year's Rally route. Please note this is not a race, just a fun event giving lots of satisfaction - testing your buying and preparation skills, enjoying a scenic Scottish road trip and helping support two fantastic charitable causes. The event will be very high profile and a perfect PR opportunity for contributors.
