The 2017 REAL Rally rolled back in to England on Friday afternoon after three days of travelling through France and Belgium, taking in overnight stops at Bruges and Le Touquet.
OK, you all know we’ll be visiting Bruges and Le-Touquet-Paris-Plage during the 3 days of the Rally - but what about the twiddly bits that get us from one place to another?
We really do like to be beside the seaside. And seasides don't get much swisher than our second night stop-over of Le-Touquet-Paris-Plage - the 'Pearl of the Opal Coast'.
Our first-night destination this year is the must-see Flemish city of Bruges, the so-called 'Venice of the North'. No not because of its Cornettos, because of its canals of course!
A number of factors have already affected the planning stage, having had to move dates because of a large Vehicle Repair industry event.
After the fabulously enjoyable first running of The REAL Rally in 2016, we can't wait for the second one - due to set off on Thursday, May 18th, for another 3-day European fundraising adventure!
“When I finally made the decision to plan the charity’s first ever rally, I had no idea it would have such an impact and create so much interest with so many people" explains Rally organiser Bob Linwood.
This Thursday (21st April), The REAL Rally rolls out of the area for a three-day fund-raising journey around Northern Europe. The event has been organised by REAL - The Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Fund, to support their work with local young people.
A little tour of our second-night stop-over - the German city of Düsseldorf…
A little tour of our first-night stop-over - the French city of Reims...
